Hi Guys - or Paul ! :D

What level should I have my laptop volume at ? I control the volume via the av remote, but don't know what effect the laptop volume has.

Currently using USB out through digital thing into the AV amp.

On any source with a digital out you want the Digital at 100%, which is max basically make sure the Media player volume and the PC Volume are both 100%. Then control the Volume at the amplifier.

Any volume reduction in the digital domain is bad, you are basically reducing the resolution of the audio stream.

You also want to make sure that the output is set to the same as the source this is generally 16 bit 44.1 kHz for CD and most streamed stuff, may differ if you get in to hi Rez downloads.
