There's been some promising actors/actresses spring up over the years. But what you expect to flourish into a great career, suddenly smoulders into a puff of smoke and they're never seen again, or they're reduced to crap parts. This thread is for those who you feel have wasted their chance.

Christian Slater.
I remember watching him in a film (can't remember which, might've been Interview With A Vampire) and thinking, "this guy could be the next Jack Nicholson". He had the look. He did some great films, including True Romance. He seems to have fizzled out to nothing. A real waste.

Rufus Sewell.
When I saw him in Dark City, I thought this guy would get a lot of work because of his looks - prominent features, striking eyes etc, unique enough to get some decent work. He reminded me a of Robert Powell a little. I know he's been in quite a few things since, but nothing major.

Matthew Lillard.
After Hackers, he was really good in Scream, quite wacky. He played a really good Shaggy in Scooby Doo, and then seems to have disappeared, despite IMDB listing him as having regular work. I see he's in The Descendents.
