The Yamaha YHTS400 Home Theatre package is a unique Home Theatre Package with an extremely slim front speaker that fits in front of almost any TV and a subwoofer-integrated receiver. The Yamaha YHTS400 Home Theatre package is a unique Home Theatre Package with an extremely slim front speaker that fits in front of almost any TV and a subwoofer-integrated receiver. The Yamaha YHTS400 Home Theatre package can accept HD Audio signals (linear PCM transmission) from Blu-ray Disc players for enjoying maximum sound quality.
Three HDMI inputs mean that you can connect three different HD sources to the Yamaha YHTS400 Home Theatre package, each via a single cable
Unlike other "virtual surround" systems, when you listen to Yamaha's AIR SURROUND XTREME, you can actually identify sounds located around and behind you. You hear dialogue from a clear centre channel and other sounds from the front, specific sounds from the other channels to the sides and rear, and smooth sound movement around you. AIR SURROUND XTREME can even deliver surround sound from 7-channel sources.
Another new technology featured in the Yamaha YHT S400 Home Theatre package, Extended Stereo moves the stereo image further to the sides. With an 800mm wide unit, it is as if you are listening from speakers that are 2 meters apart from each other. This means that the optimum sound field in front of the unit is much wider
When the Yamaha YHTS400 Home Theatre package is connected to a CEC compatible TV, such as a Panasonic VIERA Link TV, the Yamaha YHTS400 Home Theatre package will turn on and off together with the TV, and you can use the TV remote unit to control the YHT-S400 volume. CEC also provides advanced functionality with other components.
If your TV is not mounted on the wall, Yamaha offers two convenient, space-saving ways to integrate it with your Yamaha YHTS400 Home Theatre package. The YTS-T500 supports both units on top of a rack, table, etc. The YTS-F500 is a floorstanding pedestal.
